Training: Education and Training Sessions that you can not afford to miss out on.
8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd and 24th of February 2007.
Time: Thursday 6.00pm to 7.30pm and Saturday 10.00am to 11.30am
Venue: Elwood Life Saving Club, Elwood Foreshore, Elwood.
Cost: $40 to all participants, with $20 proceeds going to the Elwood Life Saving Club for use of shower, change rooms and water safety.
Payment: payment will be made via cash cheque or credit card via the Tri Alliance website on the first night of the clinic.

Structured Sessions
Week One
Thursday 8th of February
• Intro Session One
• Tri Alliance will perform a 40 min rego, Q and A sessions with Tips and Tricks refresher, hand outs, what to bring to each session, timetable of sessions.
• 40 minute practical running session following the techniques learnt from the Summer Triathlon Program. |

Saturday 10th of February.
Transition One and Bike. No Swim.
Session 2 is a 15 to 20 minute refresher discussion on the first transition, mounting and settling into the bike.
This will then follow with the practical, learning the skills of handling their bike in transition through a step by step skill refreshed on the oval for 25 min.
The session will finish with participants completing a dry start from the waters edge and onto the bike. |

Week Two
Thursday 15th of February
Transition One and Bike. No Swim.
Session 3 revisits bike handling skill bike, refreshing the use of their bikes on the road using set out obstacles practicing turning, breaking and handling. Finally participants will put this together with a dry swim exit, wetsuit removal, running up the beach, location of bike, bike prep in transition, navigation in transition, mounting the bike and safety issues. |

Wednesday 17th of November
Transition Two Bike to Run
15 to 20 minute discussion on what was learnt from the bike on Monday, looking at tips on how to improve individuals times on the bike and safety.
Session 4 Participants will revisit dismounting off the bike, how to prepare the legs for the run and running off the bike.
Session will start back on the oval or sealed road with dismounting the bike and running with the bike into transition.
Participants will finish up with running technique session, developing a relaxed running style. |

Week Three
Thursday 22nd of February.
Open Water Swim
15 to 20 minutes discussion on open water swimming, getting your wetsuit on and off, using lubricants and maintenance of the wetsuit, how to read the water, preparation and warm up, participants will practice race start, navigation and breathing, different open water conditions.
20 to 30 min practical session dependent on conditions. |

Saturday 24th of February
Open Water Swim Continued
15 to 20 minute discussion on the practical followed by 60 min practical
Practice Ins and Outs, entering and exiting the water at speed, navigation, breathing, pack swimming, turning the buoys, finding large land marks, preparing to exit the water and removing your swim cap goggles and wetsuit.
Finishing with a mini triathlon and prerace preparation. followed by prerace rego and bike drop off.
