The Nissan / BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2010 sees thousands of employees in the Corporate world forming teams, sporting swimming caps, lycra, bike shoes and runners all for the glory of competing in the largest Corporate Triathlon Series in Australia!
Last years event not only saw big names in business competing, but big names in the sporting arena also, including Nathan Buckley, Daniel MacPherson, David Schwarz, Mark Beretta, Rick Olarenshaw and Mia Greaves amongst the 5000 other corporate competitors!
The event involves a 400m Swim, 10km Cycle and 4km Run, in teams of three. Each team member completes the whole course and times are aggregated to reach your overall team time. The event is fantastic for Corporate Organisations of all sizes to take part in as it:
- is a great motivator for your employees to have a fitness related goal, which will inevitably improve their health and productivity
- is an opportunity for team-building
- is an ideal way for employees to relieve stress and reduce illness
- promotes an energised workforce!

| CORPORATE TRAINING PACKAGES |

So you have entered a team into the Nissan/BRW Corporate Triathlon and are now wondering how you are going to get through it? Don’t worry - at Tri Alliance we have specially designed 4 week training programs to help build your confidence, increase fitness, learn triathlon tips and tricks and master the art of open water swimming! No matter what age or fitness level, enter yourself or your team into one of our programs to ensure your triathlon experience is a fun and enjoyable one!
Learn all there is to know about:
- triathlon tips and tricks - the little tricks that the pro's use to make their racing easier (and faster!)
- skills training - learn and practise the skills necessary for a seamless race
- transition - including how to set up your transition area and easily find your bike amongst 5000 others!
- open water swimming - how to ease the fear of open water swimming, gain confidence, navigate and enter and exit the water
- swim, bike and run technique - we'll provide advice on technique to help improve your times
- race rules and regulations - learn the rules to make sure you don't get caught out on the day!
- equipment set-up - is your bike set-up correctly? We'll help you go over all your equipment to ensure it is fit for you, safe and road worthy
- bike and swim safety - to ensure a safe training and racing environment

4 Week Individual & Corporate Training Programs

Don't have much time to commit to training but want to do well in the race? Want to learn the triathlon skills to help you through, including mounting and dismounting, transitions, open water swimming and more? Then join our express 4 week program and we'll have you ready and prepared to race.
All Programs include:
- 3 structured training sessions per week - full details will be provided to you including days, times and sessions
- Training program to follow at home for those who want to make the most of it
- Email and phone contact with our coaches outside of scheduled session
- FREE Pre-race tips & tricks clinic - we'll show you the course firsthand!
- PLUS you'll learn all the tips and tricks the pro's use!

OPTION 1 - For individuals
For a one off payment of only $110 you will receive the program benefits outlined above
OPTION 2 - For a team of (3 people)
For a one off payment of $300, you will receive 3 spots into our program as outlined above (Saving of $10 per person!)

WHAT IS INVOLVED? - PROGRAM OUTLINE |

4 Week Program Outline
The main sessions for your 4 Week Program will be held 6.00-7.30pm each Thursday and 10.00-11.30am each Saturday at Elwood Lifesaving Club. These sessions are important in learning triathlon tips & tricks, skills, race rules & regulations, transition and open water swimming.
WEEK 1 - THURS 4 & SAT 6 FEB 2010

Equipment requirements, checking of your equipment including bike set-up and road worthy testing and learning the art of mounting and dismounting from your bike with ease and setting up your transition areas for the fastest transition times! |

WEEK 2 - THURS 11 & SAT 13 FEB 2010
Transition and Open Water Swimming
This session will see us going through the mounting and dismounting of the bike followed by the run off the bike and the run to the finish. You will learn the skills involved in making this transition sharp and fast, increasing the skills of scooting, finding a safe and easy path to exit to, running with the bike, and finding your transition point efficiently. This will then be placed all together and you will do your first mini tri for the first time!
Brief and practical on open water swimming, getting your wetsuit on and off, using lubricants and maintenance of the wetsuit, how to "read" the water, preparation and warm up. Participants will practice race start, navigation and breathing and handling different open water conditions, entering and exiting the water at speed, navigation, breathing, pack swimming, turning the buoys, finding large land marks and preparing to exit the water. |
WEEK 3 - THURS 18 & SAT 20 FEB 2010
Continue to practise skills learnt with the aim at faster transition times and increasing your fitness levels.

WEEK 4 - THURS 25 & SAT 27 FEB 2010
Now that you have learnt the majority of the skills we will spend this session working on your weaknesses. 90 min to practice your Swim, Transition One, Bike, Transition Two and Run.
Pre-race walk through. We'll take you physically over the race day transition, working out all entry and exit points and showing you the Swim, Bike and Run courses |

| WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED? |
|
Below is a list of basic items / equipment you should bring to your sessions:
- Road worthy Bike (either mountain bike, hybrid or road bike)
- Helmet
- Bike Gear - including bike shoes (if you have cleats)
- Swimmers
- Goggles
- Swimming Cap
- Wetsuit (if you have one)
- Running Gear - including runners, cap, and comfortable clothing
- Towel
- Warm/dry clothing for post training

| I'VE SIGNED UP - WHAT DO I DO NOW? |
|

Once you have signed up, you will receive a email confirming your place in either our 6 Week or 4 Week Corporate Training Program, confirming your starting dates. You will be able to gain access into the online members account the week prior to the commencement of your program. So you will not be able to gain access immediately.
An email will then be sent to you the week prior to the commencement of your program confirming days/times of training sessions and any other details you may require. Then all you need to do is turn up - we'll do the rest!!
