LISA SAAD - Swim Coach
For just over 20 years Lisa Saad has been a photographer in Melbourne. Her work targets 'high-end' advertising including fashion, food, portraiture, still life, editorial, automotive, illustrative and interior both locally and internationally with work appearing regularly in many publications. She has recently added cinematography to her talents and has worked on productions such as All Saints as Director of Photography.
Lisa’s interest in triathlon came about when she decided to set herself a really impossible goal as a challenge a couple of yeas ago whilst in recovery from a bone spur removal from her shoulder followed by chronic fatigue to complete an Ironman. As a swimmer with Melbourne Vic Centre in her late teens and early twenties Lisa competed in State and National events with the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly being her main events. Lisa completed her AusSwim, Bronze Medallion and her Level 1 and Level 1M with Gene Jackson and John Olsen in her early twenties and coached for four years before deciding to give it up to allow all of her attention to be focused on her photography company and her career. We are now pleased to have her back on pool side as a coach again.
Her maxim? "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond all measure."
