Tri-alliance – Australia’s Premier On Line Triathlon
Coaching Company have come up with a no mess, no fuss guide
to train for and complete your first triathlon in 6 weeks.
Yes, that’s right, an all in one package. This coming
season you will have the opportunity to train with the most
popular and successful triathlon program in Victoria, Tri
Alliance.
For
a one off payment of $160.00 you will get:
–
3 structured training sessions per week for 6 weeks under
a fully qualified Tri-Alliance coach. Individuals will be able to chose 2 other sessions within the week to participate in (the 3rd session will be on Saturday where the training will be specifically tailored and dedicated to teaching the tips, tricks and skills of triathlon). These sessions can be any of Tri Alliance's specific and well-worth swim, wind trainer/bike or run sessions, where you will have every opportunity to approach coaches and other athletes for their knowledge, information and assistance, whilst being in a friendly and welcoming environment. You can choose
from our Inner Melbourne Tri Alliance Squad, our Outer Melbourne
Tri-alliance Squad or Geelong and Surf Coast Squad.

These sessions will cover all aspects of training to
complete your first Triathlon at a Gatorade or Brooks Fun
Tri for the season. If you are the absolute beginner
or you done a few races already this introductory program
will provide you with all the skills and confidence you need
to race in and complete the best organized races in Australia.

Email and phone contact with your coaches outside of your
regular coached sessions. Tri Alliance’s extensive
range of fully qualified coaches are there to provide you
with 6 weeks of absolute support to make sure you are well
versed, well trained and confident in going into your first Triathlon
challenge.

Weeks Tri Alliance Try the Tri Fun and Fitness.
Week
One
Open Water
Swim
15 to 20 minutes meet and greet, followed by a discussion on
open water swimming, getting your wetsuit on and off, using
lubricants and maintenance of the wetsuit, how to "read" the
water, preparation and warm up. Participants will practice
race start, navigation and breathing and handling different open water
conditions.
60 min practical on the above topics.
Week
Two
Open Water
Swim Continued
15 to 20 minute discussion on the practical followed by 60
min practical.
Practice Ins and Outs (entering and exiting the water at speed),
navigation, breathing, pack swimming, turning the buoys, finding
large land marks, preparing to exit the water and removing
your swim cap goggles and wetsuit.
Week Three
Transition
One and Bike.
15 to 20 minute discussion on the practical, followed by 60
min practical.
Session will start with a discussion on bike handling, bike
set up, and the bike in transition area. This will then be followed by
the practical, learning the skills of handling their
bike in transition through a step by step informative and analysis on the oval
for 25 min. This will also include bike set up for individuals.
Participants will then move onto bike handling skills, learning
to use their bikes on the road using set out obstacles, practicing
turning, breaking and handling. Finally participants will
put this together with a swim exit, running
up the beach, wetsuit removal, location of bike, bike prep in transition, navigation
in transition, mounting the bike and safety issues.
Week
Four
Transition
Two: Bike to Run.
15 to 20 minute discussion on the practical followed by 60
min practical.
This session will see us going through the mounting and dismounting
of the bike followed by the run off the bike and the run to
the finish. You will learn the skills involved in making this
transition sharp and fast, increasing the skills of scooting,
finding a safe and easy path to exit to, running with the
bike, and finding you transition point efficiently. This will
then be placed all together and you will do your first mini tri for
the first time!
Week Five
90 min
Free Style Session.
Now that you have learnt the majority of the skills we will
spend this session working on your weaknesses. 90 min to practice
your Swim, Transition One, Bike, Transition Two and Run.
Week
Six
Full mini
Triathlon in a no-stress, friendly environment.
End
of Week 6
Pre Race Clinic will be conducted on the Saturday before the race to take you through
all the tips and tricks of triathlon, going physically over the transition,
working out all entry and exit points showing competitors
the Swim, Bike and Run courses and finishing up with Question
and Answer time.
